The water in the lake comes from the bottom of Trinity Lake and has a year round temperature of 50 degrees. This is a perfect habitat for trout and the natural food that they feed on. Because of this we are able to hold the fish for a couple years and let them grow to trophy size.

All of the proceeds that we receive from the derby go back into the project to buy more fish and food as well as maintaining the cages.
